The Dream: The two Rias

-my interpretation of "The two Fridas," by Kahlo-
Drawing, 9 by 9 inches.
When I was training as a Gestalt therapist, we did a visualization once, in which we were to explore our 'inner house of being.' In the attic we were to meet with our primordial ancestors. I remember having a fright when I 'saw' a wrinkled old woman with long, silvery hair and eyes glowing like coals. The therapist who was training us, said to me : "Yoรบ are scared of your own strength." For what it's worth...I'm not scared anymore.

Amazing work - both the painting and owning your strength.

I thought I had commented on this, but I guess it was elsewhere. It is a powerful piece, but I like your explanation also. It really adds to the piece for me.

Beautiful drawing (echt prachtig)! And the skeleton woman is comforting in some way because of she's smiling and holding your hand in a tender way. Life and death are connected, in the western world we sometimes seem to forget that because we're scared (?) I'm glad that you're not afraid of your strength anymore, it makes you such a bright person.
