Aggressed Body

-Siempre soy Mujer-

I finished this painting 8/14. It's acrylic on canvas 12 by16 inches.

The text in Spanish says: "Every time I look at Frida Kahlo's painting, "The Broken Column," I experience compassion for my suffering. That's why, inspired by her, I painted myself here after three surgeries for two cancers. I also managed to paint the "look" I have been looking for in my drawings. I chose as its title: "Aggressed Body." (Aggressed by the cancers and the treatments.)
